I used to file GSTR 1 using software . In HSN summary descripttion column remains blank, but when you write HSN code manually on portal it shows descripttion. so shall I file the GSTR 1 without descripttion by using software or I should fill HSN summary manually.?

HSN is mandatory , so even if descripttion is not captured need not worry. Yes you can file without descripttion.
Note : But even though it is being uploaded by any software, once the HSN is provided it automatically picks the descripttion.
