the main confusion about UPS is whether it should be treated as Computer or as a Machinery.

Computer is nothing but a assembly of different parts to get a device in a workable condition...

since the UPS is an essential part comprising a computer, it should be treated as a computer.

Although Computer is also a machinery yet a specific depreciation rate is provided for the computer in IT act.

hence 60% dep will be allowed...........

thats right .....
