if asset is purchased in cash for above 10000 what will be the affect on depreciation for f.y 17-18

Any expenditure made above 10k is disallowed to be claimed as expenditure u/s40(a)(3) and hence no depreciation can be claimed on such expense.
agree with Mrs/ Ms. ruchika.... it's not 40A(3) but section 43....
