We are having about 50% export sales. We import lot of raw material and pay Custom Duty and CVD etc. We get MODVAT of the CVD but we lose custom duty. I understand that there is a DEPB scheme for getting fixed refund of export FOB. Can anyone advice what is the procedure for this? Other than this scheme, is there any other procedure for getting refund of csutom duty.

ACTUALLY SIR, MINISTRY OF COMMERCE PROVIDE THER FACILITY OF DEPB TO THE EXPORTER.IT DEPANDS IS INCENTIVE IS AVAILABLE ON YOUR PRODUCTS ? IT CAN BE FINDOUT WHEN either U PROVIDE RITC HS CODE NO. OF EXPORT ITEM OR READ THE FOREIGN TRADE POLICY 2009-2014.

Mr.Verma, thank you for the reply. Our product code is there in DEPB schedule. The duty drawback rate is 1%. Should we approach the local excise authorities for the procedure?
