I have filled my ITR for A.Y.2012-13 on 28th July 2012. I have submitted my ITR acknowledgement on 28th december i.e. after 120 days of efilling. i want to revise my original ITR. so can i revise it. i checked in ITR status, it's showing ITRV rejected because filling date has exceeded the due date.

so can I revise my return?

Thanks,

Shivani

HI

YOU HAVE TO REVISED THE RETURN DUE TO NON SUBMISSION OF ITR COPY BUT THIS RETURN WILL TREAT AS ORIGINAL ONE BY DEPARTMENT. SO YOU CAN REVISED THE RETURN.

THANK YOU

Time limit for submission of ITR-V forms has extended as per the notification issued by CBDT

please follow the below link

Yes, you can revise your return..

Secondly, if you dont want to change any content.. you can jus re-file the original return as revised return and send the ITR-V within 120 days . It will be accepted as revised return and will replace the original one.

thanks to all for your response.

but i want to revise my return because  i forget to put deduction u/s 80C.

not because i submitted acknowledgement after 120 days.

so question is can i revise my return for the above mentioned cause even  i submitted the ackno. after the due date.

YES YOU CAN REVISED THE RETURN WITH TAKING DEDUCTION U/S 80C .

SHIVANI DONT PANIC YOU CAN DEFINETLY REVISED THE RETURN WITH CHANGES YOU WANT TO DO IN RETURN BECAUSE YOUR FIRST RETURN ALLTOGETHER NOT CONSIDERED BY THE DEPARTMENT SO NOW YOU HAVE A CHANCE TO FILLED REVISED THE RETURN AS ORIGINAL ONE IF YOU CHECK THE STATUS OF YOUR FIRST RETURN ON INCOME TAX SITE THERE WILL BE NO REURN SHOW FOR THAT A.Y SO YOU CAN FILE THE RETURN WITH CHANGES.

THANK YOU
