Is it compulsory to submit proof of Chapter VI A deductions to employer. I have business income in addition to income from Salary and I would like to avail deductions against my business income. The notice on e-filing website says that income and deductions claimed must match the Form 16.

yes you need to submit chapter VI a deductions if you have salary....... if you have business income also better to show half of the deductions to your employer and the rest of deductions can be claimed while filing the ITR...
