Deduction u/s 80D for current year.

Our D.D.O. is going to deduct Rs.50,000.00 from his gross salary due to his senior citizen mother although there is no any health insurance. Wheather it is correct? want to know please. Thanks.

Who is DDO?
Generally govt organization's have provision to deduct health insurance.. Amount deducted is eligible for 80D.

But generally they deduct for self ..

If your mother is in employment then it is fine

Sec 80 D IS FINE . BUT WHAT ABOUT . IT IS AN ELIGIBLE DEDUCTION FOR ALL ASSESSES FROM GROSS TOTAL INCOME .
