The parent in whose income, income of individual is included whether the same parent can only claim deduction or other can also claim.
same person can only claim deduction
But as per Sec 80C(v) it's said that any amount contributed by individual for the person specified in (4) deduction shall be allowed. (4) included individual,spouse,children.
So if one parent has included in his income and other parent has contributed to provident fund then as per above said section deduction will be available.
