Ded u/s 80C & other sec chapter VI not Considered by CPC

Hi,

Today i received a mail from CPC Bangalore stating that i have to pay addition tax (along with interest u/s 234) for the AY 2010-11 and my suprised to see that IT department has completely not considered Rs.100K "Deductions u/s 80 C and other sections of chapter VI".

They have also asked me to pay the payment within 30 days for the receipt of the mail. The amount is Rs.20K (approx)

Can you kindly let em know what approach i have to take to handle this issue. (As i am out of INDIA,i am not sure how to handle this issue and in panic situation)

check your original return filed and facts therein , grounds and investments for claim u/s 80C, if u deem fit u can appeal against this order,

First check the computation given by CPC Bangl. and the original computation filed by u.

If there is any difference than you should file rectification Letter u/s 154, and send it to CPC bangl.

If you have received a mail please send a reply by mail attaching therewith the ITReturn copy and the form !6..wait for their reaction

Please call CPC on telephone number 1800-4252229 (Toll Free) or 080-43456700, They will solve your problem.. Before calling them once check your submitted written copy....
