Declaration of employment status

Hey!

How should I declare my employment status as a full-time crypto trader/investor?

I don’t have a registered company or anything, but I do pay personal income tax on my gains.

I’m trying to figure out what to write under “Employment Status” for things like:

Visa applications Opening bank accounts / updating KYC Any official forms where they ask for occupation/employment What’s the best way to describe this without raising red flags or confusing the system?

Quick Summary
If you're a full-time crypto trader or investor without a registered company, you can accurately declare your employment status as 'Self-Employed', 'Freelancer', or 'Private Investor'. When asked for your occupation, use clear terms like 'Crypto Trader/Investor' or 'Financial Market Professional'. Maintaining consistency and keeping good records of your income and tax payments will help ensure clarity on official forms and applications.

Declaring Employment Status as a Full-Time Crypto Trader/Investor As a full-time crypto trader/investor without a registered company,

consider the following: Employment Status Descripttion -

*Self-Employed*: You can describe yourself as self-employed, highlighting your independent income-generating activities in crypto trading/investing. -

*Freelancer*: Alternatively, you can use the term freelancer, emphasizing your autonomous work in managing your crypto investments. -

*Private Investor*: Another option is to use the term private investor, indicating that you invest your personal funds in cryptocurrencies. Occupation/Employment Descripttion When filling out official forms or updating KYC, you can use descripttions like: -

*Crypto Trader/Investor*: Clearly state your occupation as a crypto trader/investor, highlighting your expertise and experience in the field.

- *Financial Market Professional*: You can also use this descripttion to emphasize your knowledge and involvement in financial markets. Tips for Official Forms -

*Be Clear and Concise*: Ensure your descripttion is easy to understand and accurately reflects your occupation. -

*Avoid Ambiguity*: Use specific terms that convey your role as a crypto trader/investor, avoiding ambiguity or confusion. -

*Consistency*: Maintain consistency in your descripttions across different forms and applications. Additional Considerations

- *Tax Compliance*: As you're already paying personal income tax on your gains, ensure you're compliant with all tax regulations and requirements. -

*Documentation*: Keep accurate records of your income, tax payments, and other relevant documents to support your occupation and employment status claims.

By using these descripttions and tips, you can effectively declare your employment status as a full-time crypto trader/investor without raising red flags or confusing the system

Thank you so much for the detailed answer. Appreciate it.
