Quick Summary
This discussion addresses the implications of uploading a December GST invoice in March. It clarifies that while the invoice can be accepted late, interest penalties may apply to the supplier for the delay. The recipient can claim Input Tax Credit (ITC) in the month the invoice was originally meant for, provided their GST returns haven't been filed yet for that period. For quarterly filers, invoices appear at the quarter's end.

If December return not filed you can claim it in December
Is there any Penalty to supplier or service provider??

Yes.Interest is applicable for delay.December invoice should have been uploaded for December itself..

Why and How ??

If a person files GSTR-1 quarterly then all invoices will be displayed in month end with the quarter.
