Dear Sirs,
My client is having an income of 20000/- from DEBT MUTUAL FUND which is held for 8 months. I am aware that this is coming under Short Term Capital Gains.
As this STCG is from Debt Mutual Fund (i.e. Not Equity Based) is taxed as per the tax slabs of the taxable income.
Kindly let me know in what Item Nos. / Column numbers in ITR-2 should I mention this STCG as this is not an equity based income and is from debt mutual fund.
Kindly let me know the Item Nos. / Column numbers in ITR-2 to fill this income as STCG -Others.
I kindly request you to elaborate in this. Please.
