Custom duty on wine in excess of quantity prescribed under baggage rules

I want to know whether wine in excess of 2 litre is liable to be taxed at 100% on the excess part because law does not mention about wine if someone exceeds the prescribed quantity.

You are entitled to bring 2 litres of wine/alcohol duty-free. For any quantity exceeding this, you must declare it at the Red Channel and be prepared to pay high customs duties (approximately 150%+). Failure to declare can result in penalties and confiscation. Always check the specific laws of the Indian state you are entering, as some states strictly prohibit the possession or import of alcohol.
