There is no drop-down in column 1a.
how to fill column 1a?when uploading,it prompts"PL SELECT FROM DROP-DOWN".Pl help.

Colomn 1a for equity / eq mf accquired before 1/2/2018 or after 31/1/2018 for grandfather ing of c gain . While uploading with manual entry of accquired date, massege given ..PL SELECT FROM DROP-DOWN LIST.But no drop-down list available in column 1a of CSV template.

Yes portal and offline utility both are not working properly try again later

Fill in desktop utility. Don't use template

For column 1a, put AE for acquisition date after 31-Jan-2018 and BE for dates before 31-Jan-2018.

Thank you Amit. For ITR2, AE/BE works for Column 1 in excel file. However for AE, the ISIN becomes "INNOTREQUIRD" and descripttion becomes "CONSOLIDATED". However, the gain/loss is correct. Please help

For AE that info is irrelevant and so probably values changes likewise. As long as it happens automatically in the ITR utility & final gain/loss is correct it should be OK I think.

Thank you Amit. I have another issue with CG. I have LTCG and ST loss. First in the income, there is no deduction of 1L from ltgc and ST loss is not shown in CFL sheet. I am filling form 3, but the same problem is in ITR2 for my wife.

Am I missing something.

Sir

I am getting an error "Pls fill the cost of acquisition" even after filling proper amounts in the columns while uploading csv file for 112a schedule. I am not able to sort out the issue. Let me know if anyone knows how to sort out this.

If you are getting "pls fill......." even after you have data entered in that column, make sure it doesn't have commas. It should be in pure number format.

Used icicidirect capital gain Excel data to generate CSV template LTCG112A by modifying with excel sum/ product and pasting them in CSV sheet. Used AE and BE to categories before and after 31st January 2018 (1a) columns. Successfully uploaded CSV sheet in online ITR2 Schedule 112A.
