The ICSI training structure, effective since February 3, 2021, follows a structured path designed to enhance professional and practical skills. Below is the breakdown of the training components:
1. Executive Development Programme (EDP)

When: Must be completed after passing the CS Executive Programme examination and before commencing the long-term practical training.

2. Long-Term Practical Training

When: After successfully completing the one-month EDP.

Duration: 21 months.

Eligibility: Must be an Executive Programme pass student.

Mode: Full-time basis under a Practicing Company Secretary (PCS), a company with a whole-time Company Secretary, or other eligible entities.

Probation: The first two months are considered a probation period.

Transfers: A maximum of two transfers is permitted during the 21-month period.

Registration: Training must be registered with the Institute (via the Stimulate portal) within 100 days of commencement.
3. Corporate Leadership Development Programme (CLDP)

When: After passing the CS Professional Programme examination and completing the 21-month practical training.

Duration: 30 to 60 days.

Focus: Designed to hone leadership, legal, managerial, and IT acumen.

Requirement: This is a mandatory final step before applying for Associate Membership (ACS).
