CS-Executive-Query-Preparation for exams

regarding CS executive-Securities law and compliances . It is said reference books are not essential.Im appearing For June 2010. But the Institute study material is Updated upto Jan 2009? wat about amendments sir!!! I found one book of Law Point-Pandab and Mukherjee Good. But it is reported by book shops that will be in market very late- What shall i do now. Or can i get a xerox copy of that books Previous edition. is it O.K?

Institute material is more thn enuf... there is no need fr any reference books ... so dnt waste time and start preparing soon.. All the best

Dear Sowmya,

Reference from study is very important particularly in securities law paper. My suggestion to you is give a reading to study with the help of scanner and suggested answers issued by ICSI. The most imp benefit of this exercise would be :

1. Whole idea about the imp topics of securities law.

2. By the time you get the notes or desired book you'll be in a position to extract more and more from the book.

3. Best utilisation of your time.

Ankur sir,

Thing is that Study material is not amended For changes During 2009 !So what shall i do for Amendments ? thats why im looking out for book! Before spending out , i just wanted to know from fiends abt the book!

Sir IS Jan 2009 edition books are themselves sufficient for CS exams? a sir?

i think law point book is good. i studied with that only. i cleared.... got the book from sitharaman & co. chennai

think it will be available now also. i got the book 5 months ago. call sitharaman ... if u need the book

Dear Sowmya,

Please refer the Student Company Secretary which you are receiving every month at your home from January 2009 onwards for amendments. The study material issued by the institute is enough for CS exams.
