Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether Credit Card EMIs can be used for tax deductions under Section 80C. The consensus is that the mode of payment, whether by EMI, cheque, or cash, is irrelevant. What matters is the nature of the expense itself. If the purchase or service is an eligible item under 80C, such as insurance premiums or tuition fees, then paying for it via Credit Card EMI will qualify for the deduction.

List of items eligible are in 80C.
it doesn't matter how you pay that is by Credit card or EMI or regularly by cheque.
No. not eligible
No it is not eligible for deduction under section 80C
It depends on the nature of payment, rather it is paid by cheque, cash or card EMIs.
Example, If you have paid Insurance premium, Tution Fee etc through your Credit Card EMI, then it will be eligible.
Credi card EMI is just the mode of payment and has nothing to do with 80C. 80C contains list of items eligible.
