Cr for credit then why Dr. for Debit

Can anyone plz let me know that.........

we use CR. for CREDIT...........

Then why we use DR. for DEBIT............????????

it stands for CREDITORS n DEBTORS...

These are latin words.

DR stands for Debere.

CR stands for Cedere.

So far i know Dr. means Debit Records and Cr. means Credit Records.

Cr. means Creditors

I have read somewhere that if you want to take best benefit of your mind than you must use it. If it's idle might have such questions in your mind.
