Well no limit on number of attempts. However, as far as i know you will have to re-register after couple of year. I don't know exactly how many years though.
But NO LIMIT ON NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS.

Question here is, why are you worried about no. of attempts.
CPT is a easy examination and with right direction and effort, you can clear it in one attempt.
