Respected Experts,

I had filed one of my clients IT Return electronically on 20-07-2011 for A.Y 2011-12 (01-04-2010 to 31-03-2011) claiming refund of Rs. 50000/- and after uploading return We had send the E-Filing Ack copy to CPC Bangalore on 03-08-2011 by ordanery post.  Since then we did not follow up for CPC receipt, so after one year the said client came to enquir about IT Refund.  So we checked to CPC Processing Status, there we received message that non-receipt of IT E-filing copy.  There after once againg we send the IT Return E-Ack said copy on 01-05-2012. Now if we check return processing status we get message that "Filing date has exceeded the Due Date".

So here my question is will there be any problem for getting the said refund because we have send the E-Ack copy after due date ?

In my opinion non receipt of  E- Acknowlegement doesn't affect on Refund . You should firstly check Refund status and then  E- Processing status and after checking this and on the basis of information which is contain in Refund Status and E-Filing Processing, You should call to CPC on Tollfree No. 18004252229. CPC will Definately suggest you

NON submission of Signed acknowledgement is similar to NON Filling of Return. So it is recomended to cal CPC B'lore else file fresh return and claim refund.
