CPA are not having authority of audit .according to section 224 (1) of Companies Act 1956, only CHARTERED ACCOUNTANT are having exclusive authority to do audit in india within the meaning of chartered Accountant Act,1949
CPAs do get job offers in India but pobably at for high administrative positions in MNCs where their international acquaintance with the subject can be of immense use. But as far as practice is concerned the information provided by mr. lakotia is immaculate.
