If you've recently registered on the MCA (Ministry of Corporate Affairs) portal and received V3 login credentials but not V2 credentials, here's what you need to know:
๐งพ Background:
MCA has transitioned from V2 to V3 portal in phases. Different services now operate on different versions:
-
V3 Portal: For LLP filings, Director KYC (DIR-3 KYC), Company Incorporation (SPICe+), etc.
-
V2 Portal: For other company-related filings (like AOC-4, MGT-7, etc., if not yet migrated).
๐ Your Issue:
You received V3 login details, but no V2 login ID. This usually happens in two scenarios:
โ
1. You don’t need V2 login:
If you're only involved in V3-related services (like LLP filings, DIR KYC, etc.), you may not need a separate V2 login, because V3 handles those entirely now.
โ 2. You had no earlier V2 account:
If this is your first-time registration and you've never filed anything on V2, the system may not auto-create a V2 login. The V2 system (older) doesn't auto-sync accounts with V3.
๐ง What You Can Do
๐ก Option 1: Try Logging in to V2 Using the Same Credentials
-
Go to the MCA V2 portal.
-
Try using the same email ID and password from V3.
-
If it says "Invalid User", then your V2 account doesn't exist yet.
๐ต Option 2: Register Separately for V2
If you're required to file something under V2 (like AOC-4, MGT-7, etc.), then:
-
Go to the MCA V2 login page.
-
Click on "Register".
-
Create a separate user ID for V2.
๐ต Option 3: Raise a Ticket (if needed)
If you're unsure or believe you should have access to both:
๐ Final Notes:
-
V2 and V3 systems are not fully integrated, so separate logins may be necessary.
-
V3 login credentials won’t work on V2, and vice versa, unless synced (which rarely happens for new users).
