Interest paid to acquire an asset becomes part of cost of acquisition. But there is a dispute, however, that if an assessee has already avail section 24 in ITR, how does one avail the same interest to be part of cost of acquisition. So, yes, interest paid to acquire a property is part of cost of acquisition.
