Cost accounting query... please help!!

the institute study material along with the practice manual and scanner is enough...you can also refer ashish kalra/p.c tulsian for reference but at this stage one should avoid studying a new book  right from scratch.

for cost accounting institute material is not enough for appearing ca examinations because the topics (standard costing, marginal,budgetary) are not covered much more in study material

it is better to prepare suggested answers / compilations / padhukas

prepare the topics in this way.......

marginal

budgetary

overheads

cost a/cing systems

contract

process

joint

materials

labour

batch

gone are the days when study material were just piles of books.....today institute framed books are in line with coaching books.... and if practice manual is supplimented with study material good score is sure to be achieved

 pls dont  loose patience what you have been doing is more than enough .just revise and you will clear with flying colors..m not saying for the sake of saying i did the same and scored 70+ .Cost accounting is the best subject in our curriculum...go strong with the basics and you will do good

Agree with Rohit. But in my opinion, Scanner is also helpful. If u have time, check it, it can play a good role in your preparation.
