Copies of excise invoices

Any one copy issued by person charging excise duty issued under Rule 9 of Cenvat Credit ,2004.....

"Duplicate for Transporter" is required to claim the cenvat credit.

Dear Sir,

Now Duplicate copy is not mandatory , earlier it was there in MODVAT rules, but safeguard purpose we should prefer only one type of copy, because duplication entries will controlled. The Tax Invoice must be issued under Rule11 of Cenvat Rules 2002 and Rule 9 of CCR 2004.
