Conversion of tin from proprietory firm to partnership firm
hi experts, one of my client is registered in Dvat as proprietor, now he want to convert it into Partneship firm with same name and same TIN number. Please advice me is it possible and if yes then what is the procedure???? thanks in advance

Just intimate to department with partnership deed and new pan no. This procedure for GVat. I expect it should be same for DVat.

It is not sure. Because, in Tamilnadu, if an establishment changes its constitution from Proprietorship to partnership or vice versa or from partnership to Pvt. Ltd., or so, the Constitution changes and therefore the registration number will have to be new. Check with Dvat.
If asking about Delhi-VAT (DVAT)
-> Make Partnership Deep
-> Update the Details in DP-1 Form (Online)
-> Also file Form7 (Ammendment) (Online)
-> Submit the hard copy of Application with required documents at Department. (Like, Partnership deed, PAN of Firm, Pan & ID Proof of Partners etc.)
