Consessional TDS rates FY 2020-21

Is it Mandatory to deduct TDS as per consessional TDS rates (i.e. 25% reduced TDS rate) or we can deduct at normal rates ?
(since reduced TDS may result in higher self assessment tax later)

Over compliance never restricted. U may deduct at higher rates according to me.
The deductee may not be OK with a higher deduction, as the intent is to provide additional cash in his hands

However, there is no restriction under the law... But evaluate it from case to case basis
