See friends, Both the courses are quite good and well.............But as far as CFA(USA) is concerned it gives you more oppertunity to have access to foreign jobs than MBA(finance)......

Thus,I suggest you to go for CFA......... and if u want your job in india then do the MBA(Finance) from IIM.But prefer CFA

if you want job in finance sector like investment banking in india & outside india  then go for CFA(USA).

After doing MBA you will able to serve in company as management person.

AS per my opinion MBA regular through CAT OR MAT (IIM or Good B-School).  CFA(US) is Best option.

At the end only knowledge matters. it is your choice.......

go for MBA.....

if u r working some where then go for for Executive MBA at ISB....

Coz CFA u can do later....but cann't go for MBA after 4/5 yrs by quiting frm an established job....

n most importantly, apart from knowledge MBA will teach u smartness n corporate culture.........

go for CFA and join distance course of MBA...As you cleared CA you need not allocate special time for MBA...You can just write and clear...ICAI have tie up with IGNOU..If you write 4 papers once you can get MCOM with specialisation degree...You jus hav chek on it whether any such benefit available on MBA............................

MBA is for teaching u Management.......

It's not like mug up a book n vomit in the exam......

It's better not to have a MBA than to have a Distance MBA.....

n also as told by U .... U r a qualified CA......

Go for such a college which is having a Brand n which can give some value addition to ur profile........

See now... I dont have any expert knowledge of either of this.... A fair idea I have... If I were given an option... I would have surely gone for CFA..... 

Even if you are thinking of doing MBA.... try scoring high in CAT coz it is always better to do it from some premier institute... 

I wud say one more thing that just see what kind of job difference will be there in both the options and then decide on any one of them... coz afterall... you got to do that all your life....

Decide wisely... Choose well...

FIRST OF ALL I WANT TO CONGRATULATE YOU FOR CLEARING CA.

I AGREE WITH MR RAVI.

IF U WANT TO DO MBA AND IF U HAVE TIME TO SPEND ANOTHER 2 YEARS THEN  DO IT IN THE TOP B-SCHOOLS . YOU CAN WRITE THE CFA EXAMS ONLINE SO THAT'LL NOT BE PROBLEM. IF U R INTERESTED IN PRIVATE EQUITIES,HEDGE FUNDS,MUTUAL FUNDS THEN GO FOR CFA OTHERWISE MBA WOULD SUFFICE. AND GETTING A JOB IN MNC IS NOT A BIG DEAL U CAN GET THE JOB EVEN NOW. SO U HAVE TO DECIDE EITHER TO BECOME AN INVESTMENT BANKER OR CA WITH STRONG ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS.
