is Gst to be paid on exempted supply in composition registration.

no , tax will be paid on taxable supplies only.
but in section 10 , it is clearly mentionef tax to be paid on turnover in state but sec 2(112) of the act said turover in state includes exempt supply
refer notification 1/2018 central tax
Please refer the notification 1/2018 of CGST.In this view tax will be paid on taxable supplies only.
