is it meant for Limited Company or for Pvt. Limited Company.

Hi Praveen,
COB is required by a Public company as desired by Section 149 of the Companies Act, 1956. Only after getting COB from ROC public company can commence its business.
For a Private Company there is no need to collect COB.
For more details study Section 149 and revert if you face any kind of problem.
