You haven't mentioned the type of organisation under which your college is formed.
Usually Colleges are forme under Trusts.
You have to maintain accounts the way Trust accounts are maintained.
The are Regulations to comply with for Colleges receiving grants from UGC. These regulations require certain funds to be maintained. The Accounting is Fund Based Accounting.
