cn TDS receivable balance of past years b carried forwaded?

We have TDS receivable A/c Balance of 2007-08; 2008-09 and 2009-10. Can this balance be set-off with current year balance of TDS payable A/c. If not, then can i get its refund now and how...Tell me briefly...Bcz what i kno is the balance of past years cnt be claimed nw...nt refunded back...

Past year claim can't be setoff against current year or later liability. But it will refunded by income tax department if you have refund(i.e., TDS is more than tax payable).

If you find any problem find a chartered accountant office who are specialized in income tax dealing. But it is true that most of refunds are yet to be disbursed by department.
