Claiming paid tds

609 views 2 replies

I am a salaried person and paid a consolidated amount. I received Form 16 from my employee indicating deduction of amount for TDS. I have file ITR online at income tax authority website myself and claiming TDS and have entered my house rent amount for which the software indicate monthly benefit @ 2000/-. I received ITR-V. Now I seek your opinion before posting it to ITR Authority whether I need to accompany any document with ITR-V or not. In case yes, please suggest name of document(s).

As per income tax act, You need to support the information given in ITR with proper evidences. But now there is the concept of paper less return. You have to post your ITR-V without evidences. if your return has been selected for Scruitny then on the demand of AO, You will be needed to serve those evidences not now...........

So Post it within 120 days without any evidences.

no need to attach any documents with itr-v.... send only itr-v to dept.
