claim of ITC on services provided in other state

ITC / Input 620 views 2 replies
I am registered under GST in Gujarat , I went to Maharashtra for my business meeting.
The stay was arranged by me for me and my clients ,the hotelier charged GST ,and took my GSTIN on the bill.
Now they have charged CGST & SGST on the bill, and as far as i am concerned IGST would have been eligible for claim, but how can I take the credit of CSGT & SGST of other state?

Hai Mr. Patel
you can't take the credit of CGST & SGST of other states ,even though mentioned GSTIN on Bill.
If you took Bill with IGST only you will eligible for ITC.
Here you took Bill with CGST & SGST. so it's no use for ITC. So that tax value of the hotel bill, you will treat it is a overhead.
Thank you so much for your reply sir,
but as per point of sale rule, how can they charge IGST when the service provided is in the same state as they are registered ?
