CA/CS/CWA is professional degrees, so they earn very good amount and get job easely, for that reason ca/cs/cwa is not intersted in civiel services. ca/cs/cwa have constitutional powers & authentication powers.

what i could say is that after completing these qualifaication the energy is no more left  with the candidattes however myself after completing CA preparing for civil services

With due respect to Mr Ravindra's reply, i think somehow the powers of ca/cwa/cs doesnt stand in front of the civil servant. They have got the true power of legislation & administration. Further, the social status they have, the same is also uncomparable.

Actually my only concern was to understand the reason for low number of commerce backgfound ppl applying for Civil Services. The reason given by both of you is absolutely correct but somewhere I feel that ppl with commerce background should also go for it.
