Hi Friends,

I am chartered accountant with 4.5 years experience in F&A, thinking for a post qualification for career growth.

I have come through 2 courses 1. CIMA 2. Master of Business and Finance (ICAI), please suggest which one would help me in career.

Also suggest in term of job opportunities.

Regards,

Sir,

There is no comparison between CIMA (London) and MBF (ICAI). The following points of distinction will make it clear:

Points  CIMA MBF
Recognition This is globally recognised profession It has not got the recognition as post qualification course
Award After completing CIMA you will be getting globally recognised degree. It is like a certificate course
Marketability It can enhance your portfolio It is still not known and recognised by the industry.
Course fee Couse fee is comparitively higher than that of MBF Course fee is comparatively very low
Syllabus CIMA covers comprehensive topics and more emphasis is on Management decision and management control and information.  Syllabus of MBF is very broad and covers approximately every practical aspect that a practicing CA confronts in their daily practice life.

If you want study for career building purpose than MBF is not good choice (till date).

Dear Sharma,

Thanks for your Reply, would you please suggest me,

1. how could we get job after CIMA? Is there any placement campus held in India or we have to go thru placement agencies?

2. in which countries we can get job easily?

3. After CIMA can we get job easily?
