Charity payment deduction from LTCG ?

Provision of section 80G will be applicable for donations .

as long as donation is not from exempt income it can be claimed as an exemption.

the percentage of deduction and the limits have to be verified.

so you will get a deduction but might not be to a maximum amount of Rs.2 Lacs

oh..that means I will not get any tax exemption on the charity payment. (I thought the charity payment is 100% tax exempted).

no formula as such but as your are telling it is a temple probably u can get 50% deduction. but ensure that you get the receipt for payment of donation.

If the temple is registered for giving deduction U/S 80G then you can get a maximum deduction of Rs.2Lakh. But I am not sure regarding one more thing that whether 80G can be availed against LTCG.

Can i deduct payment to the broker (around 25000) from LTCG?

If for selling the property (on which you made LTCG) you paid to the broker then this will be deducted while calculating LTCG as it is a cost of transfer.
