Sharad your query is not very clear. Please feed some more details.

The thing is that an Assessee has paid an interest for the 2nd qtr and I have put in the  4A(d) part in the interest column.

Can you please tell me what to fill in the SOURCE DOCUMENT signifying NO./PERIOD

Source document number means Return No.

Return no Means   -       ST Reg no(15digists_Permises code(10 digits)_ST3_MMYYYY

Ex:   AAKCS4185MST001_9103030001_ST3_042011

Where interest is paid Suo-moto (without being pointed out by department) only period (in your case quarter) has to be entered. If interest is paid consequent to a show cause notice (SCN) or order, the source document is relevant SCN No/Demand Notice No., Order In Original No. or Order in Appeal No or any other order , etc.

Interest paid for which period ?

If u r paid interest for Oct-2010 -Mar-2011 period, then  u can find the return number in  Oct-10 to Apr-11 st3 online return acknowledement .

Mr. Sharad if nothing is working it would be better to contact ACES help Desk or your Range Superintendent.

The interest has been paid for 2nd qtr  i.e, April to june 2011

I think it will show in next  half year return.

any how please conform with your range officer.
