Applied for Certificate of Practice 1.5 months back. It is showing as holding COP in ID card on ICAI website from 2nd of August. But no Physical Copy of Certificate of practice has been received Till date.
Advise whether CA can practice without receiving Hard copy of Certificate of practice, just on the basis of COP granted as shown in Member ID card.

There will be a Convocation conducted by ICAI.
You will receive your Certificate of Membership on that day. However some people do get Certificate of Practice also on same day.
In my case, I didnt get COP on Convocation day. It came by courier at my address 1 month later from Convocation date.
Also you can start your work as ICAI database is already updated stating you are holding COP. There will be no obstacles till you receive COP physically.
