We have missed to take credit of Cenvat on an import material dated 3-5-2016.
Is there any chance to take credit of the same now.
The amount is big, so we are desperate to find some way.
We discussed with excise dept , each one gave different answer.
One of them said , it is not possible more than 1 year.
one another officer said, u can avail credit of cenvat, 1 year back from the date of migration to Gst(we migrated in march2017), and not the appointed day i.e 1st july.
can somebody help in this, would be thankful
