We are a manufacturing company , and product is Aluminium foils. Recently we have purchased Transformer for Power utility. Pls clarify , whether we can avail Cenvat credit for the same. Also let me clarify in which group we can capitalise the Transformer.

If you are paying the excise duty on final product then you can avail the cenvat credit on capital goods like transformer.
