Yes...

I differ over the point.......

This is one of the ways the seniors were suggesting during demonetization, a loophole which government could not plug.

In this case the return filing is mandatory, provided the income exceeds basic limit, which would not be.........

There is no compulsion for filling of return based on any amout of cash deposited in bank accounts during the period.

SFM reporting was for any amount deposited more than 2.50 lakhs (in any single) account..... below that no reporting by banks.  Now if return is filed, chances of query arises, but otherwise no query if deposited around 2 lakhs in each account (in frangments) in number of accounts,,,,,, without filing return !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That could be one of the reasons, there was heavy rush for opening  new accounts in different banks.........

If you can select the amount based decision....
If it's just above 2lakhs he ll be simply reply SAVINGS AMOUNT....

yes Raja it's saving amount but just want to confirm do she need to file ITR for this amount?

How many Rupees she deposit...?

2.9 lakh only.

No...
You don't want file ITR.
Just you can reply it's saving amount in case you got any notice.....

Ok Thanks for clarification Raja.

Dear lucky It is better to file an ITR in your mothers name, lf not, the amount will be treated as deemed income of yours and added to your income and taxed accordingly.

Don't Want Filing...

Bcoz.,

The normal assessee(below 60) can deposit at the time demonidization Rs. 2.50 l ll be depositing and Govt also allowed. She is senior citizen she can deposit Rs. 3 lakh. So, I surely  No more enquiry and Compliance...
