Hello everyone...I want to make a career in finance field and would like to know what type of work should I be looking for in my articleship. As we often hear that most of the work is related to audit or taxation, is there any scope for the kind of work that I am looking for.

In addition to this, I also want to pursue CFA along with it and they need a 4 years of work experience to attain the charter in the end. As far as I know, 3 years of articleship isn't considered for the fulfillment of the 4 years requirement.

I need guidance in this regard....

Well,it's very difficult to look for Articleship in Finance as most CA firms deal in Tax and Auditing as rightly pointed out by you. One of my friend is pursuing CFA.Prerequisites for enrollment are passport and graduate degree holder.I also want to go for finance career mainly Corporate finance though don't want to pursue CFA. For more details on CFA,you should read an article relating to CFA by CA Nimish Jain.My friend wish to work in Equity Research.
