Can we add the cost spent on interiors while selling the flat for arriving at capital gains?

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether the cost of interior furnishings can be deducted when calculating capital gains tax on the sale of a flat. While fixed installations are generally allowable, it's crucial to have proper documentation like bank transaction records and GST-paid bills. Even a company letterhead detailing payments may suffice, provided the amounts were paid via cheque and TDS wasn't applicable.

Yes, for fixed installations....

Need to have bank transactions and GST paid bills for it.

Thankyou sir...

The company gave on their letter head mentioning my payments. But GST etc are not mentioned.

Will that be sufficient?

Thankyou

Whether the amount paid by bank?

Whether TDS was deductible over it?

Sir

I paid through cheques, but TDS was not deducted
