Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies the tax treatment for short-term capital gains arising from the sale of Reliance Rights Entitlements (RE). Specifically, it addresses whether these gains are taxed at the individual's slab rate or a flat 15%. The consensus is that if Securities Transaction Tax (STT) was paid on the transaction, the gains are taxed at the lower 15% rate.

If STT paid than at 15% rate, otherwise at slab rate...

Thanks.

STT was paid.
