Can i file ITR for A.Y.2018-19 now?
Dear frnds, Can i file Income tax for F.Y.2017-18 without any notice received from IT department?

In normal course you can not file.
However you can apply to your jurisdictional AO under 119(2)(b) for condonation of delay with genuine reasons and after it's approval you can file return .

Thank u sir.. for ur valuable answer.. but i had one more doubt about Send that application. If i will send to application, how many days will wait for approval letter? I Can send it by online mode?

Visit the AO submit apllication citing valid reasons.
Submit the relevant Itr with all the supporting documents like bank reconcilliation and form 16 ( if required).

If it's convenient, Visit AO's office and submit your request application.
Otherwise send application through speed post and then follow up telephonically.
Note that you can not submit ITR to AO.
You have to file ITR online only after approval of request application. No documents need to be uploaded alongwith return.
Returns are processed at CPC Bangalore and only selected returns are forwarded to concerned AO.
Decide accordingly

If have any refund claim or Carry Forward losses then only You can Move to file ITR as per above said reply by Mr Kapadia Pravin.
If not refund then no way for filling ITR as above way...

Does the tax payer need to submit his/her request for condonation application to A.O. Office? or any person on behalf of assessee can submit the request?
Only by the Taxpayer...

Will tha A.O. officer accept the condonation letter if i submit the condonation letter stating that I forgot to file it on the last date of filing ITR. Is it genuine reason? Will accept it by A.O.?
