can i apply different trade name in same gst number in same city.

Yes .You can.But business should be different
I don't think so ......Under One GSTN you can do number of trades but the trade name should be one. (Portal do not accept more then one trade name)
GST registration provision has specific rules.So Tax payer at his option can apply for separate registration within a state for each vertical of business
