Only the person who pays can claim the benefit.

What if paid by Joint account?

Either of joint owners can claim.

The tution fees paid by the father can be claimed by mother if the same is not being claimed as deduction by the father.

The deduction is available on payment basis and any of the parent can claim the deduction in the year of payment.

tution fees only which paid to school or paid to private tution classes also?

and fees paid to ICAI also claimable under 80C?
Paid to school only. ICAI takes registration fee not tuition fee, so not eligible for deduction.

If the amount paid is for tution/ coaching purpose and the invoice clearly states the words "tution fees", you can take the same for deduction under Section 80C
