Friends I have three questions ?
1. Can a chartered accountant in practice join a political party in India ?
2. If yes, then what are the rules that are to be followed by him?
3. Why should he join the politics? (Keeping in mind the present state of politics in India)
Yes can but not as Chartered Accountant.
Yes CA can join a political party as even office bearer of a political party as per Resulation passed in 2001
Clause 192A of CA Regulation 1988 but, He/She cann't take any ammount from that even he/she hold a insurance licence or perform as Visiting Faculty of any educational institute with the practice with prior permission of ICAI.
