CA with full time cop, not in practice and taking up consultancy work

Hi

Can a CA holding full time COP, not in practice though take up consultancy in an audit firm? Please clarify.

Thanks

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether a Chartered Accountant (CA) holding a full-time Certificate of Practice (COP) can engage in consultancy work, even if they are not actively practising. The consensus is that this is permissible, provided the consultancy does not involve any certification activities. It's suggested that highlighting these hybrid skills on a CV could be beneficial, particularly when consulting for banks.

Yes you can as long as it does not involve any certification work

Probably you can use this type of resume to highlight the Hybrid skills too

And use this if you are consulting in Bank

This gives you a fair idea of consulting for Bank along with their accounting policies
